A Message from Dave Dittbrenner

Owner & Transmission Builder, Transplant Transmission

It’s truly an honor to carry on the family business my father, Scott Dittbrenner, started back in 1989. He had big dreams for Transplant Transmission and although his time was cut short when he passed away in 2003, his vision and values still guide everything we do today.

After finishing my time with the Army I officially took over as owner in 2014. Since then, I’ve been proud to continue building the legacy he left behind. I actually started working in the shop when I was just 13. I was cleaning floors, watching, learning, and eventually rebuilding transmissions myself, just like he did.

What means the most to me is that so many of our customers come from referrals. Families, friends, and neighbors of the people my dad served all those years ago. Today, I have the privilege of working on vehicles owned by the second generation of customers who remember my father and trust us because of him.

We’ve always treated our customers like family, the same way we’d want to be treated. People often tell me we have an “old-fashioned” way of doing business. To me, that’s the best compliment. We’re not a franchise or a chain and we never will be.

Every transmission that leaves Transplant Transmission is rebuilt by me, using only the highest quality parts. And just like my dad did, I sign and date each one before it goes out the door - a mark of pride, ownership, and accountability.

Whether you’re coming in for transmission work, diesel performance, or diagnostics, you’ll get the same level of quality and care that has defined our family business for over 35 years.

You have my word.
